South Korea Defeats Batang Gilas by 18 points

The Batang Gilas U18 tasted their first defeat from the South Korean team. The Batang Gilas loses by 18 points in Doha Qatar. This is the second game of the Batang Gilas in FIBA Asia U18 Championship.

Ranbill Tongco and Mark Anthony Dyke combined with 34 points and Aaron Black added 8 points but still the team Gilas can’t handle the South Korean Team. The son of Benjie Paras from De Lasalle University Kobe Paras only scored 6 points.

The South Korean had 6 players who scored a double digit points including K. Kim 17 with, K. Song also had  17 points , H. Kwon  added also 17, H. Jeon contribute with 12 and J. Byeon with 10. A big scoring put them in to the lead and win the game.

The Philippine team had a sloppy play that cause them a 23 turn overs, 12 of that came from the steal of the South Korean team.

Quarter Scores: 23-17, 45-39, 61-54, 87-69

After this loss still our Batang Gilas are qualified in the next round and they will the Chinese team on August 23.
