Gilas Defeats Senegal in OT 81-79

The Philippine national team finally got their first win after 40 years in FIBA World Cup 2014. The Gilas Pilipinas defeats the Senegal in OT 81-79 on their last game in this Tournament.

The 4th quarter starts with a big 3 points by the Senegal team, which puts them into a lead. In 2 minutes remaining in the game the Senegal led by 1 point, but De Ocampo finds Jun Mar left open for an easy dunk. After that Blatche had his lay-up that puts the Gilas team with a 3 point lead 64-61.

Last 20 second of the game and Senegal nailed 3 points shot that's tied the game 64-64.

And in 9 seconds left in the game L.A Tenorio tries to win the game with his lay-up but it was strong and the game forced in an overtime.

The last 5 minutes of the game for the Gilas team is led by the crucial free throws and shots of Alapag. The Game ended in a close game 81-79 win by the Gilas.
