Francisco Rodriguez Jr to Fight Vergilio Silvano at Pinoy Pride 28

This coming Pinoy Pride 28 on November 15, 2014 at Cebu City Waterfront Hotel & Casino, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City, Filipino boxer Vergilio Silvano takes challenge fight the WBO and IBF minimum weight world champion Francisco Rodriguez Jr of Mexico. But this fight is only for a 10th round non-title fight.

Vergilio Silvano a unknown boxer from the Philippines will try to beat the world champion from Mexico. Silvano with a record of 19 wins and 11 of those win are by way of KO and only has 4 defeats. A non-title bout, but it will serve as big challenge for Silvano. This is a big break for the young Filipino fighter. After this for sure if he win this fight, he will have his big chance to fight for a world championship.

Francisco Rodriguez Jr a Mexican boxer, a KO puncher, has a record of 16wins with 11 wins by knockout and with only 2 defeats, was known for defeating the Filipino champion Merlito Sabillo last March 2014 for WBO world minimum title and Katsunari Takayama of Japan last September for IBF and WBO world minimum title. This kid 21 y/old Mexican has a great promising career.

Also in Pinoy Pride 28 Nietes will defend his title against Carlos Velarde of Mexico. Albert Pagara also is lined up to face Raul Hirales for IBF Inter-Continental super bantamweight title.
