No Easy Opponent for Donnie Nietes in Pinoy Pride 31

Tommorow July 11, 2015 at Cebu City Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Donnie Nietes will face a former world champion Franciso Rodriguez Jr. He was an IBF and WBO minimumweight world champion. He got his first world title after beating Merlitto Sabillo via 10th round TKO in Mexico and won the WBO title when he defeats Katsunari Takayama of Japan last year.

Francisco Rodriguez Jr. moved up in weight and try to get his 2nd division title. Rodriguez jr. has a record of 17 wins, including 11 wins by way of KO and has only 2 defeats. He is a tested fighter, he only lost to Roman Gozalez and Salvador Arias.
Francisco Rodriguez is confident and believed that he can defeat the longest Filipino title holder Donnie Nietes. But Nietes promises to win the fight and continue his momentum.

On the same card we will see Mark Magsayo vs Rafael Reyes of Mexico for the IBF Youth featherweight title.
