Marlon Tapales faces Shohei Omori in WBO bantamweight Title Eliminator

Marlon Tapales of the Philippines scheduled to face Shohei Omori of Japan for the WBO bantamweight title eliminator on December 16, 2015 at Shimazu Arena, Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan.

Tapales is a 23 year old boxer from the Tubod, Lanao del Norte, Philippines. He has a record consisting of 27 wins including 10 wins by way of KO and has only 2 defeats. Tapales is smart fighter like Donnie Nietes and Milan Melindo, currently ranked no.3 in the Philippines and ranked no. 16 in the world. Tapales is the former WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight champion.

On the other hand, Shohei Omori is 22 year old boxer from Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan. He is ranked no.2 in Japan and ranked no. 4 in the world with the undefeated record of 15W-OL. Omori is the current Japanese bantamweight champion after beating Hirofumi Mukai via 6th round TKO.

Winner of this fight will face the WBO World bantamweight champion Pungluang Sor Singyu of  Thailand.
