Two Filipinos can win a World Title before New Year


Not only Donaire who has a chance to be a world champion but also Vic Saludar and Warlito Parrenas.

Saludar who is now part of the ALA promotions will face Kosei Tanaka of Japan for the WBO World minimumweight title.

The fight is scheduled on December 31, 2015 at Aichi Prefectural Gym, Nagoya, Aichi, Japan.

This will be his first bid for a world title. Saludar with the record of 11 wins including 9 victories coming by way of KO and has 1 defeat will try to end this year with a title against the undefeated fighter from Tajimi, Gifu, Japan Kosei Tanaka.

With only 5 professional fights Tanaka won already two championship, first in 2014 when he fought Ryuji Hara for the OPBF minimumweight title and last in 2015 after beating Julian Yedras of Mexico via UD for vacant WBO Minimumweight title.

The 20 year old Tanaka is now ranked no.6 in the world and no. 2 in Japan. Tanaka set the Japanese record for winning a world title in the fewest number of fights.

But before Tanaka-Saludar fight, Warlito Parrenas of the Philippines is also scheduled to fight in a world championship against Naoya Inoue of Japan.

The fight will be held at Ariake Colosseum, Tokyo on December 29, 2015.

Warlito Parrenas is a 32 year old fighter from Cadiz City, Negros Occidental,Philippines. He is a KO puncher and has a record of 24 wins including 21 big victories by way of KO with 6 defeats.

Parenas fought David Carmona of Mexico in his last fight but ruled as draw.

On the other hand, Naoya Inoue is a 22 year old Japanese fighter with the record of 8W(7KO) and no defeat.

A tested fighter and fought big name fighters like Adrian Hernandez, Samartlek Kokietgym and Omar Andres Narvaez.

This Japanese kid won all his title fights via KO.
