Mark Magsayo vs Chris Avalos on April 23rd

Filipino Rising Star Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo faces one of the top fighter of Top Rank Chris Avalos on April 23rd at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

This would be the toppest fight for the kid since fighting Yardley Suarez of Mexico last year.
Magsayo with the record of 12W(10KO)-0L is known as one of the top fighter of ALA Gym together with Albert Pagara.

Magsayo is the current IBF Youth featherweight champion. He got his title when he fought Rafael Reyes in July of 2015 and defended it One time against Yardley Suarez via KO in the first round.

The 20 years old boxer from Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines has an unpredictable style of boxing that put his side to become of the top prospect in the Philippines today. His speed and relentless attack with power can put him not soon maybe to a world championship.

On the other hand, Chris Avalos is not an easy opponent for Magsayo. Avalos has a record consisting of 26 wins including 19 wins by way of KO and has only 4 defeats.

The 26 years old boxer is former WBO NABO bantamweight and WBO Inter-Continental super bantamweight champion.

Avalos had his chance for a world title fighting Carl Frampton last year but defeated via 5th round TKO.

Avalos defeated Rey Perez of the Philippines for his comeback but in his last fight, he was knocked out against Oscar Valdez in the 5th round.

Avalos-Magsayo fight will be included in the card of Donaire-Bedak on April 23rd, 2016 at Smart Araneta Coliseum. Donnie Nietes is also a possible fighter to be included in the same card.
