Tapales faces Sor Singyu in WBO World Bantamweight Championship

Filipino no. 1 WBO Bantamweight contender Marlon Tapales finally have his chance to fight for a world championship against the Thailander champion Punluang Sor Singyu on July 27, 2016, in Thailand.

Tapales is 24 years old boxer from Tubod, Lanao del Norte, Philippines. He has a record consisting of 28 wins including 11 victories coming by way of KO and has only 2 defeats.

Tapales is a very skilled boxer and has a promising career. He is now ranked no. 1 in the Philippines and ranked no. 5 in the world.

The Filipino fighter won the title eliminator fight against Shohei Omori of Japan on December 2015 via TKO.

On the other hand, the Thailander is a top challenge for the Filipino fighter.

Sor Singyu has an impressive record of 53W(35KO)-3L.

The 26 years old Thailander captured his WBO title against AJ Banal in the Philippines in 2012.

Sor Singyu lost to Tomoki Kameda of Japan in 2014 but came back with 6 wins against the great boxers.

Sor Singyu last saw winning and defending his title against the Filipino fighter Jetro Pabustan last February 2016.
