Nietes to Face Edgar Sosa in Pinoy Pride 38th

Filipino boxer Donnie Nietes will face the former World Champion from Mexico Edgar Sosa on September 24, 2016 for vacant WBO Inter-Continental flyweight title.


Nietes the longest reigning Filipino world champion is already conquered the light flyweight division and now wants to move up into the Flyweight division.

Nietes who has now a record of 38 wins including 22 big victories by way of KO wants to get his 3rd division title but before that he should face the Mexican Sosa for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental flyweight title.

Nietes is a technical boxer and also has the power to put down his opponent, he is not fast but he is very accurate and very smart boxer.

He defeated a lot of highly rated boxer and he is a world champion since 2007.

In his last fight, Nietes defeated Raul Garcia of Mexico via referee technical decision (TKO).

Meanwhile, Edgar Sosa is tough Mexican boxer and a former WBC World light flyweight champion. He is a hard hitting 36 years old from Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.

He defeated some Filipino boxers including Rodel Mayol and Brian Viloria.

Sosa is a brawler type of boxer and also a very tested boxer.

He fought Roman Gonzalez last year but defeated by KO.

Donnie Nietes vs Edgar Sosa will be telecast via Sattelite on ABS-CBN sports and Action and the fight will be held at StubHub Center, Carson, California on September 24, 2016.
