Jake Bornea to face Andrew Selby for vacant IBF Inter-Continental flyweight title


Jake Bornea of the Philippines is scheduled to face the former Olympian Andrew Selby for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental flyweight title on November 18, 2016 at Wembley Arena, Wembley, London, UK.


Bornea with an impressive record of (11W-1L, 5KO) is a 21 years old from Arakan, Cotabato (del Norte), Philippines. He is the current WBO Asia Pacific Youth flyweight champion defeating Richard Rosales in 2015 and successfully defended it against Renerio Arizala last April 2016.

Bornea only loss to Raymond Tabugon in 2014 by unanimous decision.

On the other hand, Andrew Selby is a 27 years old former Olympian competing in the 2012 London Olympics but fall short against the Cuban Robeisy Ramirez Carranza.

The Brit has an undefeated record of 6 wins with 4 of his victories are coming by way of KO.

Selby is a former BBBofC British flyweight champion defeating Louis Norman via unanimous decision.

Andrew Selby is known as the brother of the current IBF World featherweight champion Lee Selby.
