Richie Mepranum fights world title contender Luis Nery on Oct. 22nd

Filipino hopeful Richie Mepranum will face the world rated boxer from Mexico Luis Nery on October 22, 2016, at Auditorio Municipal, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.

Mepranum a 29 years old from Maasim, Sarangani, Philippines, he has a record consisting of 31W(8KO)-5L.

Mepranum is not new on fighting a top contender, he fought great boxers and defeated them to get a world title match 3 times but he was defeated by the champions.

Mepranum fought Julio Cesar Miranda for the vacant WBO World flyweight title in 2010 but he was knocked out by the Mexican.

In 2014 he challenged the WBO and WBA Super flyweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada but was KOed in the 10th round of the fight.

And last April 2016, Mepranum battles the undefeated WBC World super flyweight champion Carlos Cuadras but also defeated by RTD in round 8th.

Meanwhile, his opponent Mexican prospect Luis Nery has an unbeaten record consisting of 20W with 14 victories by way of KO.

The hard-hitting Mexican defeated Filipino boxers including, Jether Oliva and John Mark Apolinario.

In his last fight, Luis Nery defeated the former interim WBA World super flyweight champion David Sanchez by 4 round TKO.
