Ancajas to defend title against Mexican Today in Macau


Filipino IBF super Flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas is scheduled to defend his title against the Mexican brawler Jose Alfredo Rodriguez today January 29, 2017, at Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort, Macao, Macao S.A.R., China.


Ancajas trainer said in the interview that his boxer is feeling positive and strong.

Rodriguez however also show aggressiveness and excitement in the upcoming fight.

"He wants to scare Jerwin, making bad faces at him. Or he wants the belt badly," said Jimenez ahead of Ancajas' first defense. "Jerwin is very confident, he was not intimidated."

Jerwin weighted in at 114 lbs while the Mexican challenger came at 114 1/2 lbs.

Jerwin Ancajas to stake his belt with his record of 25W(16KO)-1L-1D while the Mexican hard-hitting challenger has his record with 32W(19KO)-4L.
