Al Rivera to face top Aik Shakhnazaryan for the WBC International super lightweight title in Russia


Al Rivera of the Philippines will face the top Russian boxer Aik Shakhnazaryan for the WBC International super lightweight title on March 17, 2017 at KRC Arbat, Moscow, Russia.

Rivera is a 23 years old boxer from Santa Rosa City, Laguna, Philippines. He has an impressive record consising of 17 wins including 15 big victories by way of KO with only 2 defeats.

The hard hitting Filipino boxer is currently ranked no. 18th in the super lightweight division. He won his last 7 fights all by way of KO.

On the other hand, Aik Shakhnazaryan is also a 23 years old boxer. He is the current WBC International Silver super lightweight champion.

Shakhnazaryan is also a tested boxer once fought for the vacant International Boxing Organization World super lightweight title but loses to Eduard Troyanovsky via 8th round TKO on April of 2015.

After that lost, Aik Shakhnazaryan came back and won his last 4 fights all via KO, including his victory against the top Javier Jose Clavero of Argentina by way of 8th round KO.
