Jonas Sultan to face Sonny Boy Jaro on March 19th

Highly ranked Jonas Sultam of ALA promotions is set to defend his IBF Inter-Continental super flyweight title against the former world champion from Negros Occidental Sonny Boy Jaro.

Jonas Sultan is 25 years old boxer from Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. He has a record consisting of 12 wins including 8 victories by way of KO and has only 3 defeats.

Sultan started his career in 2013. He is the former Philippines Games & Amusement Board (GAB) super flyweight champion.

He was once fought in a big fight against Go Onaga in Japan last 2015 but loses via unanimous decision.

After that lost Sultan won his 3 consecutive fights via way of KO's.

On the otherhand, the 34 years old Sonny Boy Jaro is a former WBC World flyweight champion and a very tested and top opponent, fought some of the great boxers in the flyweight division including Toshiyuki Igarashi, Hiroyuki Hisataka, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam and Shota Kawaguchi.

Jaro has never been defeated since 2014 and most of his wins are by way of stoppages.

Sultan vs Jaro fight will take place at Makati Cinema Square Boxing Arena, Makati City, Metro Manila on March 19th 2017.
