Nietes dominates Nantapech, Magsayo knocks out Nampepeche


Donnie Nietes of the Philippines captures his 3rd division world title after defeating the Thailander contender Komgrich Nantapech yesterday April 29th, 2017.


It was not an easy fight for Nietes the Thai connects solid punches but Nietes remains sharply and throws accurate counter punches to control the fight.

Nietes wins the fight with the judge's scores of 115-113, 117-111, 117-111.

Nietes smartly winning the fight via unanimous decision. It was a massive win by Nietes and he became one of the few boxers who won 3 division belt along with Nonito Donaire and Manny Pacquiao.

Meanwhile in the undercard,

Mark Magsayo demolished the Tanzanian boxer in the first round. Magsayo put downs the Tanzanian twice and win via TKO.

Jeo Santisima won the fight via Unanimous decision. Master Suro of Indonesia down once in 6th.

Virgel Victor also won the fight via unanimous decision against Michael Escobia of Bohol Philippines.

Pinoy Pride 40 will be telecast on April 30 on ABS CBN channel 2 at 3:30 PM and 8PM on SNA.
