Brian Viloria vs Miguel Cartagena on September 9th


36 years old former 2 divisions world champion Brian Viloria is coming back to face the young fighter Miguel Cartagena of USA.


Viloria who is now looking for another chance will now face the younger American on the undercard of Wisaksil Wangek vs Roman Gonzalez rematch.

Viloria who had been a top fighter from 2005-2013 has now a record of 37W(22KO)-5L.

Viloria won his last fight against Ruben Montoya via unanimous decision after was being stopped by Roman Gonzalez in 2015.

On the other hand, Miguel Cartagena is a 25 years old boxer with a record of 15W(6KO)-3L-1D.

Cartagena had scored a 1st round KO against the top prospect of the Philippines Joebert Alvarez last year. It was a great moment by Cartagena and that increases his ranking.

After that, Cartagena fought the former WBC World Flyweight champion, Toshiyuki Igarashi, last April but the fight ended by draw.

However, Cartagena lost but he just proves that he is one of the top fighters today in the flyweight division.

Viloria vs Cartagena will be held at StubHub Center, Carson in Carson California on September 9, 2017.
