On Juan Manuel Marquez Retirement: "that December 8, 2012 knockout was unforgettable"

Juan Manuel Marquez has announced his retirement last Friday. He said that the Pacquiao Rivalry was the highlight of his career and that was a very unforgettable moment.

"I think that's the unforgettable moment in my career not just for me but for the fans, how the fights were fought," said Marquez

"I think the fights against Pacquiao gave me the opportunity to face this Philippine fighter who in his time was the pound for pound fighter," he recalled.

"But that December 8, 2012 knockout was unforgettable."

Juan Manuel Marquez ended his career with a record of 56W(40KO)-7L-1D at the age of 45.

His last fight was a unanimous decision win over Mike Alvarado in 2014.
