On this Day: Oct. 18, 1989 Espinosa won his first world title Belt

Back on October 18, 1989, Luisito Espinosa won his first world title (WBA World Bantamweight Title) against the fearless Khaokor Galaxy 29W(18KO)-2L in the Thai's hometown in the very 1st round.

There's a late reaction from the Thai but realized that he was really hurt from a combination of the Filipino slugger. After that fight Khaokor Galaxy retired from boxing.

Since then, Espinosa defended his title for 3 times and also moved up in the featherweight where he won the WBC title and successfully defended it for 6th times. Espinosa became one of the feared boxer in 90's.

Espinos ended his career in 2005 after being knocked out by Cristobal Cruz in the third round.
