Drian Francisco to fight in Mexico against Edivaldo Ortega

Former interim WBA World Super Flyweight champion Drian "Gintong Kamao" Francisco is scheduled to fight Mexican Edivaldo Ortega on January 27, 2017 at Auditorio Municipal, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.

Francisco is a 35 years old from San Jose, Mindoro Occidental, Philippines. A former interim WBA World Super Flyweight champion after defeating Duangpetch Kokietgym of Thailand in 2010. In 2015 Gintong Kamao had his biggest fight against Guillermo Rigondeaux but defeated via unanimous decision. The hard hitting boxer never fought in 2016 but cameback last February 2017 and won via unanimous decision against Mateo Handig.

Meanwhile, Edivaldo Ortega is Mexican boxer with an impressive record of 25 wins including 12 victories by way of KO with 1 defeat. Edivaldo Ortega currently no. 10 WBA world title contender only lost to Eduardo Ramirez in 2016 but won his last fight via 7th round TKO against Tomas Rojas.
