Hiroaki Teshigawara to defend WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight Title against Jason Canoy

Japanese WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight champion Hiroaki Teshigawara is set to defend his title agains the Filipino Jason Canoy.

Hiroaki Teshigawara is a 27 years old hardhitting boxer with a record of 15W(9KO's)-2L. Teshigawara lost to Ryo Akaho on 2016 but cameback with his 3 consecutive KO's victory. Hiroaki Teshigawara is currently rated no. 10th WBO contender against Zolani Tete's title, also he ranked no. 25th best bantamweight boxer by boxrec.com. Teshigawara won his last fight knocking out the former world title challenger Jetro Pabustan in the 10th round.

Meanwhile, Jason Canoy is a 27 years old Filipino from Balamban, Cebu, Philippines. He is rated no. 37th best bantamweight fighter in the world by boxrec. Last March of 2017 Jason Canoy tried to get the vacant World Boxing Federation World Bantamweight Title against Mzuvukile Magwaca of South Africa but defeated via controversial SD. After that he came up with a win against Filipino Renerio Arizala via unanimous decision in his last fight.

Teshigawara vs Canoy is slated on February 8, 2018 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo Japan.
