Team Chocolatito very interested in a showdown against Donnie Nietes

Team of Roman Gonzalez is looking forward in a showdown against the IBF flyweight champion Donnie "Ahas Nietes" for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) super flyweight title.

A report from boxingscene.com: "The team behind former four division world champion Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez is very interested in a showdown against Filipino veteran Donnie Nietes for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) super flyweight world title, according to statement coming from vice mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas."

Roman Gonzalez is coming off a 4th round KO against Wisaksil Wangek last September 2017, the Nicaraguan still in the pain of his defeat but trying to move on and planning to win a world title again, he also said that he will remain in the super flyweight division despite that KO lost.

Nietes meanwhile will defend his IBF World Flyweight Title against Juan Carlos Reveco next week February 24, 2018 at the Forum, Inglewood in the card of Superfly 2.

If both parties agreed, the fight will be possible to be held in Nicaragua in June.
